Toyota’s Indiana plant jobs exceed projection

Toyota Indiana says its $4.2 billion Princeton plant will soon hire 90 employees as the company ramps up production of its new Highlander SUV.

The jobs announcement Tuesday reflects 46 more hires than expected when the company announced in February a $400 million expansion of its Gibson County plant to accommodate increased Highlander production, a news release said…

The plant also will produce the next-generation Highlanders, as well as a hybrid version of the SUV and others that will be exported to Russia and Australia.
