KENTWOOD, MI ‚Äì Thanks to its tiny precision parts that are giving cars better gasoline mileage, Autocam Corp. is poised to grow bigger in West Michigan…
Autocam, which has 14 manufacturing facilities and employs more than 1,700 in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, probably will add about 200 employees to the 686 employees it currently has in West Michigan, Kennedy said.
Most of the growth will come from Autocam’s production of precision parts for gasoline direct injection (GDI) pumps such as those found on Ford’s Eco-Boost and Chevrolet’s ECOTEC engines.
