GM says it’s first to reach 1 million vehicles at 30 mpg highway

General Motors Co. said Thursday it sold more than 1 million vehicles in 2012 with a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency rating of at least 30 miles per gallon highway. The Detroit-based company said it was the first U.S. automaker to hit that threshold in the United States.
