Could electric cars supercharge local business?

…Electric vehicles are expected to surge in the coming years, especially in California where lawmakers see the alternative autos as an answer to the state’s carbon-emission limits. While the state now has only about 6,500 electric cars on the road, the California Air Resources Board approved rules last year aimed at preparing for 1.4 million electric and hybrid cars on the road by 2025. To put that in perspective, that’s about one in seven autos in the state.
