    GM says its EcoTec3 V-6 engine in 2014 Silverado, Sierra pickups will get 18/24 mpg

    by Melissa Burden, Detroit News, June 19th 2013 General Motors Co. said Wednesday that its EcoTec3 V-6 engine, one of three engines that will power its revamped 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups, will achieve an Environmental Protection Agency rated 18 miles per gallon city and 24 highway for two-wheel drive models. The combined mileage is 20. GM says its rating matches the 18 mpg city that the Ram 1500 HFE model achieves. Read more…
