    by Melissa Burden The Detroit News April 18, 2013 General Motors Co. said Thursday its all-new 2014 Chevrolet Cruze Clean Turbo Diesel achieves an Environmental Protection Agency-rated 46 miles per gallon on the highway, which is the best highway fuel economy of any non-hybrid car in the United States… The vehicle, built at GM’s Lordstown Assembly Plant near Youngstown, Ohio, is GM’s first diesel to be sold in the United States in more than 25 years.
